Anyway, as far as my New Year's resolution goes:
1. I will read more and watch less television.
2. I will take the SAT.
3. I will become fluent in another language.
4. I will speak my mind, be more assertive.
5. I will learn to tango.
. . . and so on
One thing I've noticed alot, is the rise of pseudo-intellectuals. People who think that they're insightful because they repeat something that they've read. There's a difference between reading something just to repeat it to other people, and reading something and forming your own opinion about it based on your own experiences. It seems that there's a rise of people who don't think for themselves. They join a specific cause backs it up 100% without considering the validity of the cause or information given through the cause. Everyone wants to be passionate about something without taking into consideration the validity of the purpose they're standing for. I just think that these people are a bit dangerous.
Another thing that really bothers me is the people, who are going around preaching about anarchy. If you had people that you really care about, and you knew exactly what could happen in a world without rules and enforcers of those rules, you wouldn't preach about it. A fine example would be what happened in New Orleans after Katrina. Women were being raped, people were being killed, and it was just a struggle to survive. Is that the kind of world you would want your loved ones to be subjected to? I think if you're unhappy with what the governments doing you go out and bring this injustice to the attention of your fellow constituents and you hold the politicians accountable. Yeah, I know, I'm talking about doing something that I would never do. Why, you ask? Because most people don't care. Which is why corrupt officials are still elected after they have proven that they weren't worthy of the position to begin with.
Whatever happened to originality? I don't like music as much as I use to nowadays. It all sounds the same. I'm pretty sure there are good artists out there but the mainstream artists are more accessible. I personally don't know how to go about looking for good music. I could also say the same thing about mainstream movies.
American culture has gone down after the 80's and it's still declining. That's the end of my New Year's rant.

"STREET" is great fun, but it's NOT pics of empty streets, your feet on the pavement, graffiti, traffic lights, ten poses of your girlfriend, or buildings without people. More info --> [link]
